He's officially sick

I was making dinner tonight and Owen asked what I was going to have and I told him a salad. So he says that he's always wanted to try salad even though I've offered it 100 times and he's always refused. So he made his little salad and ate it :) Maybe I can turn around my picky eater after all! He seems to be feeling better though he's still coughing. I'm hoping he'll be able to make it to school tomorrow because mama needs to get back to work!!

If you click on the picure and enlarge it, you can actually see how his tonsils COMPLETELY touch in the back. His peditrician wants us to have them out and I need to get him to the ENT. I need him to meet our deductible so the baby will be cheap :)

The Flu

Owen has the much dreaded flu and had to stay home from school today. BUT, he seems to be not so affected by it as he is running around the living room as I'm typing this. I thought at least I would get a nap out of the fact that we've been cooped up all day but no deal. Bryan and I seem to not have gotten sick which is a very good thing :)

I signed Owen up for a new preschool today. He'll go Tues/Weds/Thurs from 9-2:30 and it's right next to his old school. I only wish it started earlier so Bryan could still take him but I really like the place and they keep them busy all day long with no rest time. I can't believe there's only one more year and he'll be a kindergartner!!!!!!!!

My very own Bart Connor

Owen is taking a tumbling class and loves it. They teach them a new skill each week and this time it was the high beam. The funniest thing to watch is how Owen has to incorporate some kind of fall into each thing he does. In the pic, Coach Bill holds their hand to jump off but Owen has to turn it into some kind of stunt man move where he falls, rolls, and makes a noise. He does it the ENTIRE time. Bryan came to watch this week and we laughed the whole time watching how Owen insists on putting on a show. At school this week they've been learning about how to be healthy so this afternoon he's been running circles in the dining room and telling me that he has to exercise. Then he gets the hand weights that he stole from Lita and told me that he's growing his muscles. If only I had the same motivation :)

I have the best boys EVER

I've still been feeling not so great lately and after a long week I usually end up wanting to spend most of it laying on the couch. Poor Bryan spends the weekend running Owen around and keeping him busy which has been a LIFESAVER!!!!!! They went out shopping today and in addition to all of the groceries, they brought me back flowers. The roses are Bryan's pick and the yellow ones are from Owen because he knows its my favorite color :) Ignore me in the pic as I haven't showered and am looking lovely.

Owen and I went to the park this afternoon to give Bryan some free time but instead of relaxing, he spent the time putting landscape lights in our front beds. We went to Owen's favorite park here and walked down to the stream where Owen likes to throw sticks off of one side of the bridge and race to the other side and see it come out. The weather was awesome and I'm glad we got a chance to get out and play!

This picture is funny because it typifies Owen at the park. Running from one side to the other. He's the blur in the bottom right corner.
